Everything published on the Peplogy blog follows the standards on this page. They explain who writes our articles, how we research and check them, and how we keep them up to date — so you can judge the information for yourself.
Editorial policy: who writes our content
Our articles are written and reviewed by the Peplogy Team: contributors with backgrounds in biochemistry and pharmacology. We publish under our brand name rather than individual names; the standards below apply to every article, whoever on the team wrote it.
Articles are scientifically reviewed by Peplogy PhD, our scientific reviewer, who holds a PhD in biochemistry. Each reviewed article shows the reviewer at the top and in the box at the end.
Research use only
Peplogy supplies compounds strictly for in vitro laboratory research. Our articles summarize published scientific literature for education. They are not medical advice, do not recommend any use in humans or animals, and never include dosing, administration or treatment guidance.
How we research articles
- Peer-reviewed sources only. We base articles on peer-reviewed research, such as papers indexed in PubMed, systematic reviews and meta-analyses. We do not use supplier marketing, forums or social media as sources.
- Primary studies first. Where possible we read and cite the original study rather than a summary of it.
- Study type is always clear. We state whether findings come from cell cultures, animal models or human studies, and we do not present early or preclinical results as established facts.
- Limitations included. Small samples, conflicting results and open questions are reported, not left out.
Citations
Claims are cited inline with numbered references, listed in full at the end of each article with links to PubMed or the DOI, so every statement can be traced to its source.
Fact-checking and review
- Before publication, every article is checked by a second member of the team against the cited sources: each claim must match what the study actually reports.
- Numbers, study designs and terminology are verified against the original papers.
- Anything that cannot be supported by a peer-reviewed source is removed.
Updates and corrections
- Articles are reviewed when significant new research is published, and at least once every 12 months.
- Each article shows when it was last updated and, where it applies, when it was last reviewed.
- If you find an error, email info@peplogy.com. We check every report, correct confirmed errors promptly and note meaningful corrections in the article.
Independence
Peplogy sells the research compounds discussed on this site. Our articles are written to inform, not to sell: we report findings whether they are positive, negative or inconclusive, we make no therapeutic claims, and we do not publish paid or sponsored content.
